SAUL ‘CANELO’ ALAVAREZ VS. JERMELL CHARLO PREDICTIONS
George Foreman (Boxing Hall of Famer): Canelo
I’ve been studying this fight pretty good, and it’s going to be an amazing challenge facing a puncher as he (Canelo) is one of the finest fighters still left around in the division. He’s perfected his defense so much that you have to come after him with more than just punches. You have to pace yourself, and if you are going to do anything, it’ll be after the seventh round. If this Texan (Charlo) can do that, he can win this thing, but he won’t be able to do it by knockout. He’s going to have to go out there and beat him for at least eight rounds, and I don’t think that is going to be easy to do. My heart is with the Texan, but I just can’t see anyone beating (Canelo) Alvarez. His (Canelo) defense is just too good. (George Foreman’s biopic Big George Foreman is now streaming on Netflix.)
Kevin Interdonato (Actor & Director- Sopranos, City on a Hill & Malicious): Charlo
I think he (Jermell Charlo) has a lot to prove, and his heart & will are going to be undeniable in that fight. He probably studied so much tape on Canelo (Alvarez), already preparing for this moment. I'm going to go with (Jermell) Charlo by split decision. (Malicious, starring Kevin Interdonato, premieres on Amazon Prime on October 10th.)
Bronze Nazareth (Record Producer & Wu-Tang Official, Wisemen): Canelo
I’m picking Canelo by split decision. Charlo will give him some trouble, and even though Canelo started to slow down a little in his last two fights, he will fight through it and win. (Bronze Nazareth has a solo album coming out in February.)
Charles Malik Whitfield (Actor & Movie Producer- The Bastard Sons, Picture Me Dead): Charlo
I’m going with the young guy (Charlo) on this one because I think he is equipped to handle being bullied in the ring. I don’t see a Charlo knockout, but I think he has enough power for Canelo to respect him. I’ve seen a faded Canelo lately, and he’s not throwing a high volume of punches. Canelo’s skills have diminished and will not look like the aggressor. The keyword in this fight will be activity, and I’ve got Charlo by an easy decision. (Charles has an Allstate commercial currently circulating and is working with Penske Truck Rental, who he said “are supporting the inner cities, black communities, and small businesses.”)
Rsonists (Heatmakerz- Multi-platinum producer): Canelo
I can’t see Charlo knocking out Canelo, and I can’t see him taking advantage of Canelo in the first half of the fight. The only way Charlo wins is if he takes over the first half of the fight, and I just don’t see him doing that-Canelo by decision.
DJ Scream (Big Facts Podcast on Revolt TV): Canelo
I don’t think Charlo could last twelve rounds with Canelo. He’s going to outsmart Charlo in the ring. I’m not taking anything away from Charlo, as he will get busy too, but for the Canelo matchup, he will have to dig DEEP. I think it’s going to be an eighth-round stoppage for Canelo.
Danny ‘Limelight’ Rivera (Pro Wrestler, SAG-AFTRA Actor/Stuntman): Canelo
Although Canelo is still boxing’s biggest star, he hasn’t been a knockout fighter since 2021. I’m predicting a Canelo win by decision and not knockout. This is his biggest opportunity if Charlo wants to shock the world and prove himself against a real fighter. (Danny is in the film Dark Asset, streaming now on Amazon Prime.)

SAUL ‘CANELO’ ALAVAREZ VS. JERMELL CHARLO PREDICTION PANEL RESULTS
5-2 for Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez to come out victorious.
My Three Cents:
This is an interesting fight to predict as conventional wisdom says the bigger man should win each time, but Charlo continues to prove that he has the heart of a lion and comes out victorious when the odds are against him. Charlo will be tough, but Canelo, even at this point in his career, is too smart and will use his size to wear Charlo down. Canelo will stop Charlo late in this fight and look ahead to his next challenge in May.
