We are finally here, and all that is left is for Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (59-2-2, 39 KOs) and Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) to settle it in the ring for the undisputed super middleweight crown.
There are a good amount of fight fans who believe Canelo Alvarez has lost a step or two as he approaches his sixty-fourth professional fight. Canelo has publicly admitted that he wasn’t himself in the last two fights as he dealt with some injuries, but those days are behind him, and he is fully healthy.
On the other hand, Charlo has received praise for taking on one tough opponent after the other while on his way to becoming the undisputed junior middleweight champion. Although he is naturally a big guy, he is still fighting Canelo, two weight classes above where he is champion, which can make all the difference on fight night. Can Charlo use his speed and athleticism to win, or will Canelo have another performance similar to his one with Caleb Plant, where he knocked him out late?
