ESPN & Top Rank return with one of their biggest nights of the year, a fight card following the Heisman Award Ceremony on Saturday night. The card will be headlined by WBO featherweight champion Robeisy Ramirez (13-1, 8 KOs) defending his title against the undefeated Rafael Espinoza (21-0, 18 KOs).
Ramirez has had an impressive year so far, which started by winning the vacant WBO title in April against Isaac Dogboe and then flying to Japan in July to earn a TKO victory over Satoshi Shimizu. Ramirez looks to cap the year off with a win over Espinoza so that he can look for the big unification fights within his division.
Espinoza has built his record mostly fighting in his home country of Mexico, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t ready for this title shot. Only three of his 21 fights have heard the final bell, and he will look to stop Ramirez and capture the world title. With this being his third fight this year, is Espinoza’s activity making him a real threat against Ramirez?
