Two-weight world champion and ProBox TV panellist Tim Bradley is favouring Demetrius Andrade and possibly causing the betting upset when he faces David Benavidez on November 25 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Benevidez is currently on a solid run of form and excelled in an entertaining narrow points win, securing the most prominent win of his career against Caleb Plant in March earlier this year. Benavidez and his handlers had attempted to secure a possible bout with Canelo Alvarez and David Morrell. However, it was not possible to achieve.
Andrade, longing for a significant fight and something lacking on his CV despite being an undefeated two-weight former world champion was more than willing to accept the proposal to face Benavidez.
Bradley believes Andrade now has the stage and platform to finally demonstrate why many top names have avoided him over the past decade.
“Andrade gets to show what he really is and why people have been avoiding him for years.”
Despite Bradley being a vocal supporter of Benavidez when speaking with ProBox TV, he believes that Andrade can capitalise on the mistakes the Mexican makes in his fights.
“Benavidez is a fighter that’s getting a lot of clout. We call him the monster but as I watch him on film, I see a lot of opportunities where a guy with the smarts of Andrade can make him pay.”
