Unified world heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk (20-0), has called on Tyson Fury to sign the contract for a proposed undisputed world heavyweight title clash on April 29th. The pairing had been at loggerheads with a very public negotiating tactic used by Fury to set out his terms to the Ukranian. Fury had proposed a 70-30 split in his favour and demanded that the bout agreement contained no-rematch clauses for either party.
Usyk, who holds the WBO, WBA (super) and IBF titles, accepted the terms proposed by Fury with the WBA earlier this month, confirming that a tentative agreement had been agreed upon between Usyk and WBC world heavyweight champion Fury.
Oleksandr has said that his side of the negotiations is complete and that the ball is now in the court of Fury, indicating that the WBC belt holder is yet to sign for the fight.

Recently, Egis Klimas (Manager of Usyk, has started to consider other options for Usyk if a deal can not be agreed upon with Fury. Klimas has confirmed that if a Fury fight can not be signed, Usyk will fight his mandatory challenger set to be ordered by the WBA. The current mandatory challenger within the WBA rankings is WBA regular world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.
